Swiggy Launches Budget-Friendly Food Delivery App ‘Toing’ in Pune, Meals Starting Under ₹99
Swiggy has launched ‘Toing’, a new budget-friendly food delivery app in Pune, offering meals priced between ₹100–150 and flash deals under ₹99.
Swiggy launches its new food delivery app ‘Toing’ in Pune with affordable meals and flash deals starting under ₹99, targeting students and young professionals.

Swiggy has rolled out a new standalone food delivery app called ‘Toing’, aimed at budget-conscious customers, particularly students and young professionals. The app, currently live in select areas of Pune, offers affordable meals priced between ₹100–150, along with flash deals under ₹99.
Toing: Affordable Meals for Young Consumers
‘Toing’ is designed to cater to those with limited disposable income, featuring mini meals, burgers, sandwiches, cakes, and desserts. The app charges a platform fee of ₹12, slightly lower than Swiggy’s main app fee of ₹14.99. With flash sales and budget combos, the service is positioned as a pocket-friendly alternative to mainstream food delivery.
Currently, the app is operational in areas like Kothrud, Hinjewadi, Wakad, Aundh, and Pimple Saudagar, with plans to expand further based on user adoption.
Why Pune Over Bengaluru?
Traditionally, Swiggy pilots new products in Bengaluru, but this marks its first test outside the city. Industry insiders say Pune’s large student base and young workforce made it an ideal choice for testing a budget-focused food delivery service in a market less saturated than Bengaluru.
Swiggy’s Super-Brands Strategy
‘Toing’ is Swiggy’s seventh standalone app, joining others like Instamart, Dineout, Snacc, Crew, and Pyng. The move reflects Swiggy’s shift from a super-app model to a super-brands strategy, creating separate apps for distinct services and demographics.
The timing of the launch is crucial, given the increasing competition in the food delivery sector. ‘Toing’ is set to compete directly with Rapido’s Ownly app, which also targets students and young professionals. Interestingly, Swiggy is reportedly selling its 12% stake in Rapido for up to ₹2,500 crore.
Swiggy’s Growth and Differentiation
Swiggy’s food delivery business has shown growth, with monthly transacting users rising from 14 million to 16.3 million between Q1FY25 and Q1FY26. Earlier, Swiggy introduced its ₹99 Store across 175 cities, offering meals in the ₹49–149 price range.
What makes ‘Toing’ unique is its exclusive focus on the ₹100–150 bracket, separating it from Snacc, which focuses on canteen-style 10-minute deliveries.
The app also comes with a youth-centric green and pink design, moving away from Swiggy’s trademark orange branding, in an attempt to appeal to Gen Z and millennials.
Availability
‘Toing’ is available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
